The human eye is a complex organ responsible for vision, composed of several key structures:

• Cornea: The transparent front surface that refracts light entering the eye.
• Lens: Located behind the cornea, it further focuses light onto the retina and adjusts for near or distant vision.
• Iris: The colored part of the eye that controls the size of the pupil, regulating the amount of light entering.
• Pupil: The opening in the center of the iris that allows light to pass through.
• Retina: The innermost layer that contains photoreceptor cells (rods and cones) that convert light into electrical signals.
• Optic Nerve: Transmits visual information from the retina to the brain for interpretation.

These structures work together to enable the perception of light, color, and depth, allowing us to see our surroundings.
