The female urinary system consists of several key structures that function to produce, store, and eliminate urine:

• Kidneys: Two bean-shaped organs that filter blood to remove waste and excess fluid, producing urine.
• Ureters: Two tubes that transport urine from the kidneys to the bladder.
• Urinary Bladder: A hollow, muscular organ that stores urine until it is ready to be expelled. It expands as it fills and signals the need to urinate.
• Urethra: A short tube that carries urine from the bladder to the outside of the body. In females, it is approximately 4 cm long and opens just above the vaginal opening.

This system plays a crucial role in regulating body fluids, electrolytes, and waste removal.
