How to make Metal Retaining Wall in Substance Designer
In the continuation of the designer training series, for this episode, we want to create a metal retaining for a stone wall that it's a very useful and common material in in-game environments. So, we in this video show you how to achieve this result in the substance designer in a few steps and enjoy creating material in substance designer!

- Chapter 01- First Step: In this chapter, we create metal bars and ad surface details and additive details to them, and after that, we are going to make our rock surface that these metal bars are going to hold them. We are going to use different techniques to achieve the result that we want. For the final step in this video, we blend these two surfaces together.
- Chapter 02- Second Step: The next step is creating the color, metallic, and roughness data for this material. For this tutorial, we are using the gradient map and creating our color data with a few colors, and blending them together with different grunge maps to get what we want. And for roughness data, we are using a simple and effective way for this type of material.
